Call of Duty is heading for space

This year’s Call of Duty title from Infinity Ward will be set in space if rumours are to be believed.

NeoGAF user shinobi602 revealed that Call of Duty will be set in the distant future, will feature space combat, and will be “full-on sci-fi.” While recent Call of Duty titles, including Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3, have explored the near-future, this will be set in the “very far future.”

Why should this rumour be believed? Shinobi602 has a pretty good track record when it comes to insider knowledge about Call of Duty. He previously leaked that Black Ops 3 would feature wall-running and cybernetics, and that a studio other than Treyarch would bring it to PS3 and Xbox 360.
