CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory has a workshop this Easter to excite young space engineers with the story of planetary discovery. Eight to 12 year olds will find out how planetary landers are constructed by designing their own craft to land on a comet, an asteroid or even another planet.
The engineers will then test their craft by launching if off the Dome Tower of the Castle with a (raw) egg inside. Workshops will take place from 11am to 12.30pm on Tuesday and Wednesday and are €10.
Pre-booking is advised on 021 4326120 or www.bco.ie/2016/02/easter-workshop/
