Online campaign launched to nominate Buncrana hero for Presidential award

Calls are growing online for the man who saved a baby from a sinking car to be given a special Presidental Award.

Davitt Walsh swam out to the car off Buncrana pier as it filled with water just in time for Seán McGrotty to hand the four-month old babythrought he window, moments before the car sank.

Walsh swam back to the shore with baby Rioghnac-Ann, who was the only survivor.
