The Mind, Body, Spirit and Yoga Festival in the RDS runs this weekend and offers the chance to discover the latest techniques in self-development and life-enhancing positive psychology with 75 talks by top Irish and international experts.

Visitors can explore everything from angels and aromatherapy to Reiki and reflexology, sound therapy, massage, meditation, bio-energy healing, crystals and yoga therapy.

Tea for Two

Devonshire Cream Tea will be served during the ‘Devonshire Day’ tomorrow at Lismore Castle in county Waterford. Now an annual tradition at the castle, guests are served Devonshire Cream Tea under the guidance of the Duke of Devonshire’s Butler and are then offered a guided tour of the Castle gardens.

Tea and tours take place at 11.30am, 12.40pm, 1.50pm, 3pm and 4.10pm.

Timeless Love Affair

A new play, based on the letters between Michael Collins and Kitty Kiernan and the speeches of Michael Collins is running at the Gardens Theatre in Ballyphehane in Cork until April 2.

A Great Arrangement is drawn from the legendary correspondence between Collins and Kiernan, Collins’ compelling speeches, the gripping Dail debates on the Anglo/IrishTreaty and newspaper accounts.

Revolutionary Idea

On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Galway’s Latin Quarter will host ‘Galway Whispers Revolution’, with a re-enactment of the clandestine meetings that happened around the city during the time of the 1916 Rising.

Actors in full costume will assume the roles of senior Galway IRB and Cumann na mBan figures as they try to hold their secret meeting to plan and debate the details of the Rising. www.thelatinquarter.ie

Mud Fun Run

Mayo Mud Run returns to Moygownagh in north Mayo next Saturday at 1pm. Participants have the option of sprinting, climbing, crawling and generally mucking their way to the finish line.
