Tried and tested: Eyeshadow palettes

BEST known for their great-value brushes, Zoeva is also getting an excellent reputation for eyeshadow palettes. 

The German company has released a new collection, for each end of the colour spectrum — warm, cool, and nude.

I’m always on the look-out for the perfect, nude eyeshadow palette, which you can throw on in the morning without fuss.

The Nude Spectrum consists of 15 earthy shades, from muted taupes, matte brown, and deeper rust shades to ivory white and deepest black.

The effect is subtle enough for everyday, but could be built up for a more dramatic, evening look.

The shadows are highly pigmented and buttery soft — just make sure to tap off any excess, before applying, to ensure a light finish. Each of the Spectrum palettes costs €35.

While the Rose Golden Set (€65) is a chic batch of eight, essential eye-and-face brushes, with rose-gold accents, we couldn’t resist the Classic Eye Set (€38), which contains six brushes made of a natural-and-synthetic hair mix.
