‘But our country does not know where to go to cry’

This haunting video features a poem written by a 15-year-old Syrian boy, Omar.

‘But our country does not know where to go to cry’

The video released by War Child marks the five year anniversary of the Syrian conflict, with the help of some famous faces.

Hozier begins the poem followed by Dianna Agron, Jack Whitehall, Rita Ora, Jack Garrett and Marcus Mumford.

Omar and his family fled from Syria and are now living as refugees in Jordan.

"This is our news, this is our daily show, another episode of breaking news," he says.
