Man wakes up to find fox munching on his trousers

A man who fell asleep at a bus stop woke up to find a fox chewing on his trousers.

Steve Gould said he passed out in London and then woke up around an hour later to find the creature gnawing on his trainers and trousers.

He told the Evening Standard: "He didn’t even blink. He just looked up at me as if to say ’what am I doing wrong?’

"He wasn’t trying to bite me or anything. It was like he was pulling my trousers to say ’come with me’ or trying get them off."

The 35-year-old posted the image online.

Steve didn’t seem to be put out by the experience.

He said: "God knows what would have happened if I hadn’t woken up. I could have lost a leg, I don’t know.

"But he was doing no harm. He was quite calm, he wasn’t going to attack me.

"It was just the most remarkable thing I’ve ever seen. It’s up there with my best ever experiences."
