HTC may be making Nexus phones for years to come

Google often switches up what smartphone manufacturer gets to handle its Nexus phones, but that may be about to change. It's being reported that HTC is to build the Nexus phones for the foreseeable future.

A report, spotted by TechRadar, says that HTC has signed a three year deal to produce all Nexus phones. Last year, by comparison, Huawei took responsibility for the Nexus 6P while LG handled the Nexus 5X.

It will be interesting to see how HTC handles the brief year-on-year. Previously, with manufacturing duties switching from company to company, we saw different approaches. Hopefully HTC won't take an iterative approach with the contract locked down for a few years.
