Tinder now lets you play Cupid

If you’ve been swiping through Tinder recently and spotted a profile that might be a perfect match for a friend, you can now act as a matchmaker and share that profile.

Tinder is currently testing the feature that lets you share a profile with someone in your contacts. If they then click on the link and swipe right, their profile has a greater chance of appearing in that person’s potential matches.

The feature is currently being trialled in a number of countries. Tinder’s vice president, Rosette Pambakian, said that the ability to share a profile was “one of the most popular requests from our users.”

The shared link expires after three days or five clicks, whichever comes first. It will be possible to opt out of the share feature if you don’t want another button on screen that you could accidentally tap.
