Matthew Perry is delighted Matt LeBlanc is now Top Gear presenter

The two rose to fame as Chandler Bing and Joey Tribbiani on comedy series Friends but Perry is convinced LeBlanc will be “great” at the new presenting gig.
Speaking on ALAN CARR’s Chatty Man show, he said: “It’s a very exciting job for him because he loves cars. He must be thrilled. I haven’t spoken to him since he booked the gig but he is going to be great.”
After starring as his best friend for 10 years, Perry is well placed to allay any fears that LeBlanc could head the way of quick-tempered fired former host JEREMY CLARKSON.
Asked whether LeBlanc would ever get “punchy” with producers, he said: “No. He was wonderful. Matt is one of the nicest, funniest guys in the world.”
He revealed to Carr that one scene was taken directly from an unfortunate real-life incident when he was 25 and unable to turn off a porn video he was watching in the middle of the afternoon.
He recalled: “It wouldn’t shut off, so I decided to turn the volume down because it was really the sound that was driving me crazy. I pushed the volume button down on the remote and I could see the nozzle on the wall unit go all the way down to zero, but I could still hear it.
“That’s when I remembered that the night before I had been sitting in my back yard drinking a Martini and listening to music, and I realised that for the last half hour I had been blasting porn into my outdoor speakers... at 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
JEREMY CLARKSON will be hoping his new motoring show isn’t a car crash — but it appears to have already been hit by one.
The former Top Gear host tweeted a picture of the results of an “accident” during filming in Barbados for his new Amazon Prime series, which is still yet to be named.
Clarkson shared the photograph of the vehicle’s mangled wreckage with his six million followers.

But he left people guessing about the cause of the “accident” by offering no explanation of what actually happened.
A spokeswoman for Clarkson was unable to provide any details of the incident.
Despite the apparent crash, there wasn’t much sympathy from Clarkson’s fellow presenter RICHARD HAMMOND.
Clarkson, Hammond and their fellow host JAMES MAY have been filming on the Caribbean island for more than a week.
The trio have been tweeting pictures during their stay ahead of the highly anticipated series which is set to rival their former show.
ADELE might have made the world wait nearly five years for her album, 25, but she’s ready to release her songs thick and fast now.
The ‘Hello’ singer teased fans that she could be releasing a new track towards the end of her world tour, which finishes in November after more than 100 shows.
She told fans at Belfast’s SSE arena: “There may be a new song towards the end of the shows.”
She quickly added: “I haven’t written anything yet, though!”
Her inspiration for getting back in the studio and out on the road is still three-year-old son Angelo.
She said: “In between my albums I popped out a baby. It is the greatest thing I ever did. Now I have complete purpose. I want him to be proud of me and understand why I do this.”
