A truck has just been caught on film crashing through a gate while trying to beat a level crossing

Less than a week after a truck tried to beat a level crossing in Dublin, and failed, Irish Rail have released footage of another lorry doing exactly the same thing.

The clip, tweeted by the transport firm this morning, shows the truck speeding through the level crossing at Ballymahon in Co Longford as the gates are lowered.

The incident caused a 20-minute delay to rail services to Sligo town.

Irish Rail have reported the incident to Gardaí.

Unlike last week’s incident, Irish Rail forgot to include their little dig at the culprit, something that was noticed by their followers.

Although, their reply of "serenity now!" may explain the rail company’s more relaxed attitude to the latest incident.
