James Corden settling in to West coast life

The comedian told presenter Ross King it was “a massive undertaking” to up sticks from the UK to live in the US and host The Late Late Show.

“It’s a credit to my wife really, to move here with a five-week old and son who was three, and it is a massive undertaking.

“I work really hard in the week and then I feel like on a Saturday morning, it’s like you’ve clicked your fingers and you’re just in the South of France and my son is outside and the sun is shining.

“You feel very lucky to be in a position where that is our life, for a few years, or until they sack me!”

The 37-year-old, who rose to fame as Smithy in BBC series Gavin & Stacey, is a big draw in the US. His late night series has welcomed A-listers including TOM HANKS, DAVID BECKHAM, HALLE BERRY and RUSSELL CROWE.

  • LOUISA JOHNSON, favourite to win The X Factor, is on track to perform at the final show this weekend, despite reports saying she may miss it due to a “mystery illness”.

Johnson sparked fears she would miss The X Factor final after cancelling a performance in Liverpool this week.

She tweeted a message to her fans announcing the news, saying: “So sorry that i’m missing tonight in liverpool! Need to be on strict voice rest ahead of the biggest week of my life, it needs to be perfect.”

In response to a fan who tweeted her saying: “Get well soon”, she replied: “I’ll be just fine.”

  • MADONNA paid her respects to the victims of the Paris attacks by staging a surprise performance at the Place de la Republique in France’s capital.

The 57-year-old pop star is in Paris for her Rebel Heart tour. Following a sell-out concert on Wednesday at the Bercy Arena, she tweeted she was heading over to the Place de la Republique and urged fans to “meet me there now”.

Videos posted online feature the star singing with her 10-year-old son David as the crowd joined in with the impromptu show. They were accompanied by guitarist MONTE PITTMAN, who’s currently on tour with the pop star.

The multi-award winner appeared to have forgotten some of the lyrics to JOHN LENNON’s classic Imagine. She also sang ‘Like A Prayer’ and ‘Ghosttown’, taken from her Rebel Heart album.

After the Paris attacks, which left 130 people dead, Madonna took a moment to reflect during her concert in Stockholm last month.

SACHA BARON COHEN appeared as Borat on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote the trailer for his new movie, Grimsby.

The film, which will be called The Brothers Grimsby in the US, tells the story of a reformed football hooligan (Baron Cohen) forced to go on the run with his brother — a suave secret agent played by Kingsman star MARK STRONG.

As the hapless Kazakh journalist, the British comedian took the opportunity to joke about Kimmel’s name on the US show.

He also laid into controversial mogul DONALD TRUMP, who has created a stir during his campaign to win the Republican presidential nomination.

Borat said Trump is a Sacha Baron Cohen comic creation and branded the businessman “a parody of a rich American racist”.
