Volunteer Lucie and a growing army of teens are giving a helping hand

WHEN she was just 10 years old, Lucie Nagle sold Butler’s chocolate on the street for the Hope Foundation. A year later, she ran a loom-band summer camp, teaching 26 four- to 12-year-olds how to weave animals and jewellery.

Now aged 13, the Limerick teen is the youngest volunteer out of 30 short-listed for the National Volunteer Awards — the ceremony takes place in Dublin on December 2.
