An Irish Regency brass inlaid sofa table (€3,000-€5,000) and a marquetry inlaid display cabinet (€2,500-€3,500) are among the delights at Hegarty’s sale in Bandon next Tuesday at 6pm.

Around 300 lots of antique furniture, silver, collectibles, coins and medals will be offered.

There is an Irish George II wine table (€2,000-€3,000) and an Irish George III pier mirror (€2,000-€4,000) as well as drawing room furniture. Collectibles include a James II crown coin, (€1685-€1688).

There is viewing from noon to 5pm today and on Monday, and from 2pm to 5pm tomorrow and from noon to the start of the auction on Tuesday.

There is a big choice among more than 800 lots at Sheppard’s sale of more than 800 lots in Durrow, Co Laois, on Tuesday.

One of the more expensively estimated lots is an Irish George III white marble and scagliola chimney piece in the manner of Pietro Bossi (€30,000-€50,000).

There is antique furniture, lighting, rugs, art, Chinese porcelain, decorative items and clocks in a sale which includes jewellery from the collection of Doreen O’Brien (1888-1960), daughter of the 14th Baron of Inchiquin.

Viewing is 10am to 5pm today, tomorrow and Monday.
