Chewbacca actor comforts grieving Star Wars fan with moving letter

It’s been a very sad week for many Star Wars fans when yesterday we learned about the passing of Daniel Fleetwood, a terminally ill man who’s last wish to see ’The Force Awakens’ was granted only a few days before he died.

Today however we are learning that Peter Mayhew, the actor who plays everyone’s favourite Wookiee in the Star Wars franchise has been comforting another fan who recently lost a friend under tragic circumstances.

The 7ft 3 actor sent a very touching letter to a fan named Liam whose friend had passed away.
