So in honour of Halloween she sent Stonestreet, best known for his role as Cameron in Modern Family, through a haunted house.

He was supposedly there to protect Ellen’s executive producer, Andy Lassner, and attempted a show of bravado when he first went in.

But the sarcasm was soon forgotten as they both screamed their way around the building.

We think it was the ’choir of zombies’ that finished him off.

Because one haunted house just wasn’t enough - the show put up a second video.

The pair were sent through a second house based on the ’Halloween’ film.

Not for the faint-hearted!
