The Humans of Dublin Facebook page posted a cracking quote

Humans of Dublin is a page that collects photos and quotes from strangers on the streets of Dublin. The photos are taken by photographer Peter Varga on a Facebook page that is pretty popular with over 70,000 likes.

The page is a source of inspiration, full of wise words from wise people and -well, you get the idea.

This most recent post is one that is getting a bit of attention with more than 5,000 likes and it is wiser that you would think.

Spotting a happy elderly couple wandering down the streets of Dublin, savvy photographer Peter stopped the couple and asked them could he take their photo which they happily obliged.

Then, completing the second part of the Humans of Dublin page, he asked them for a quote by asking the question "What’s the secret to a long lasting relationship?"

It was their answer that surprised everyone.

"Don’t ask me, we’re a fresh couple, we’re together only six months!" the pair told him.

Taken back by the response Peter asked: "May I ask how you met?"

"On a holiday in the Bahamas. We both missed the bus back to the village!"

Proof that age is only a number, you are only as old as you feel and there is always fun to be had and all those other clichés that are as old as the hills.

Head to the Bahamas lads, and don’t forget to miss the bus!
