Antiques in brief
The 600-lot sale of wardrobes, dressing tables, bedside lockers, kneehole desks, circular tables, folding tables, chairs, armchairs, framed prints and a 20ft long bar counter will be on view from 2pm to 5pm next Friday and from 9.30 am on this day week.
More than 600 lots will come under the hammer at Cork Auction Rooms at noon tomorrow. Highlights include a 19th century Irish sideboard (€400-€600), a 17th century silver mounted coconut libation cup (€300-€400) and a Kalle magic lantern (€250-€300).

The sale will feature militaria, stamps, porcelain, pictures and prints. Viewing is from 10am to 6pm today and from 9am tomorrow.
The house contents auction in Carrigtwohill at Lynes and Lynes begins at 11am today.
Morgan O’Driscoll’s online sale of Irish art runs to next Monday at 6.30pm. The catalogue features 340 lots and is online at www.morganodriscoll.com . The sale will be on view in Skibbereen from 11am to 3pm on Monday.
Hibernian Antique Fairs will be at Fels Point Hotel, Tralee from 11am to 6pm tomorrow.
Viewing continues at the Royal Hibernian Academy in Dublin today for Sotheby’s 71- lot sale of Irish art in London on October 21.
