Among the main lots are a carved French gilt suite with original tapestry covering (€3,200-€4,500), an inlaid bow-front chest on chest (€2,000-€3,000), a Victorian boulle cabinet with mirror back (€1,800-€2,500) and a breakfront boulle cabinet (€2,500-€3,500). There are also some Waterford chandeliers and rugs.

Rank exhibition

An exhibition celebrating Ranks flour mills is on at the Hunt Museum in Limerick until October 25.

Ranks was at the heart of Limerick for generation. The exhibition explores its role in Limerick history through stories from the local community.

Midlands fair tomorrow

The Tullamore Court Hotel is the venue for the Midlands Art, Antique and Vintage fair tomorrow.

The fair will feature a wide variety of items including silver, jewellery, furniture, brass, copper, coins and banknotes. The opening times of the fair are from 11am to 6pm.

161st watercolours show

The 161st annual exhibition of the Water Colour Society of Ireland continues today and tomorrow at the Concourse Gallery at Dun Laoghaire County Hall.

There are more than 280 works from more than 100 artists on display in what is Ireland’s largest exhibition of watercolours.
