This year’s event celebrates the 70th anniversary of CIE’s foundation, and highlights include some of the company’s vintage buses and trucks dating back to the 1950s along with an array of veteran military and fire vehicles, classic cars and trucks.
Vintage bus tours of Dublin Port, transport memorabilia, food stalls and entertainment will form part of the event which is fast becoming a must for vehicle enthusiasts, transport historians and families alike.
Tickets cost €12 for adults, €6 for children on the day and a family ticket costs €35 for one adult and four children or two adults and two children.

Joe Rooney, best known from his roles in Killinaskully and Fr Ted, will be performing in City Limits tonight following a nationwide tour with Pat Shortt.
He starred in the hit RTÉ comedy series,
as the character Timmy Higgins and is also well known his role as Father Damo in the

Ever think you might like to become a puppy walker for the Irish Guide Dogs? Well today at its open day you can find out if you have what it takes.
From noon at its headquarters on the Model Farm Road in Cork, you can see all the stages of training that a guide dog goes through from the ‘puppy-walking’ stage through to early and advance training and the extensive work required from the Irish Guide Dogs team and volunteers to ensure the dogs make the grade.
There will be no parking available on site on the day but there will be a shuttle bus from CIT Bishopstown Campus. Entry is €5 per person or €10 per family.
This weekend the Cheerios Childline Breakfast will get an extra boost as the Cheerios Wishing Well and activities heads to the Blanchardstown shopping centre.
Every child who makes a wish will receive a special wish certificate while goody bags will be sold by ISPCC volunteers for €2 to raise funds.
There will be facepainting and magic shows and tomorrow at 11am the Odean cinema will show a special children’s film with all ticket proceeds being donated to Childline.

The Mazda Rugby Roadshow will return to Cork tomorrow with a host of Connacht players including Ireland’s Kieran Marmion.
The roadshow will be driving into UCC from 10am and is the perfect opportunity for young rugby fans to meet rugby heroes.
The adults also can take a test drive in one of its all-new Sixth Generation Mazda vehicles on site, staffed by Mazda experts who will be on hand to answers queries.

This Friday more than 10,000 visitors are expected to head to Dingle for its 9th annual Food Festival.
Over the weekend local and national award-winning chefs such as Martin Bealin (Global Village), Mark Murphy (Dingle Cookery School), Jean Marie Varieux (Out of the Blue) and Neven Maguire will deliver a tasty programme of demos, workshops including fermentation techniques, whiskey tasting and coffee cupping.
There will be book signings, food themed visual arts displays, street entertainment and a free programme of children’s foodie entertainment will take place in several venues throughout the town.
