1,200 lots on offer at Waterford auction

Items at Monday’s sale range from chandeliers to toys, says Des O’Sullivan.

A 19th-century Dutch two-door display cabinet and a selection of Waterford Crystal chandeliers are among the 1,200 lots on offer at RJ Keighery’s City Auction Rooms in Waterford next Monday at 10.30am.

The sale includes furniture, 150 lots of vintage Waterford Crystal, a collection of 1950s toys, jewellery, paintings and rugs.

The Dutch display cabinet is estimated at €1,800- €2,400.

Among the other lots are a Corgi 267 Batmobile (€40-€60), an 18-carat gold half hunter pocket watch dating to 1892 by Jameson, Dublin (€1,200-€1,500), and a Madonna and Child by A Egerton Cooper (€1,800-€2,500).

There are Hardy fishing rods, an Omega lady’s watch, an 18-carat gold and diamond brooch with 16 stones totalling 4.8 carats estimated at €14,000-€18,000, and a 24-branch two-tier Waterford Crystal chandelier (€2,000-€3,000).

Viewing is from noon to 5pm today and tomorrow.
