POLL: Will higher prices and worse odds turn you off the Lotto?
Since the news broke, Irish people have been outraged and many are refusing to buy another ticket for the popular game.
Everyone I've heard today talk about the Lotto, people on the bus and in the office, are all boycotting it. Euromillions all the way.

Decision made. At odds of over 10 million to 1, I won't bother with the #lotto anymore. No value in those odds. Poverty tax.

EVEN LESS CHANCE OF WINNING.

Spin that, Lotto.
Others have pointed out an obvious solution: higher prices should lead to higher prizes.
The operator, Premier Lotteries Ireland, said there would be bigger payouts for some smaller prizes, players who match five numbers and the bonus ball will win €100,000, and there will be a prize for matching two numbers plus the bonus number.
For the casual gambler, however, it doesn’t seem to be a major concern.
