This is why you shouldn’t stand on the edge of the Cliffs of Moher
It's ignored by absolutely everyone, as tourists crawl out to the edge for a photo. However, photographer Jan Mlázovský captured an photo in May to remind us all that the Cliffs are the site of constant erosion - and portions of the rock face collapse without warning.
"[The photo] illustrates why it is important to stay away from the edge and avoiding sitting near the edge when visiting the Cliffs of Moher," the tourist attraction's Facebook page wrote when sharing the photo this week.
Deaths at the Cliffs are not uncommon, either through accidental falls or suicide. Local authorities discourage the common tourist activity of walking right to the edge, or crawling to the edge to look over.
