VIDEO: New Zealand school performs tearful Haka at teacher's funeral
Palmerston North Boys High School was the scene of a moving performance of the traditional dance as the hearse carrying the remains of Dawson Tamatea arrived on the grounds.
Mr Tamatea taught physical education and maths for almost 30 years at the school.
The Haka is a war dance, traditionally performed on the battlefield but today it shows a mark of respect and honour during important occasions.
"This was a very emotional and powerful performance," said the YouTube description.
"We are extremely proud of our boys' performance and we know that Mr Tamatea would be too."
This is was truly a moving and very fitting send off for Mr Tamatea.
