WATCH: MP asks Kay Burley: ’What’s wrong with you?’

Awkward moments are painful enough in real life, but when they’re broadcast on live TV… there are no words.

WATCH: MP asks Kay Burley: ’What’s wrong with you?’

That may explain why Kay Burley kept repeating certain questions during her exchange with Labour British MP Dawn Butler – which might just be the most awkward thing you’ll watch today.

In the interview, the controversial Sky TV presenter asked Dawn Butler why she nominated Jeremy Corbyn to be one of Labour’s leadership candidates, despite wanting Andy Burnham to become leader.

But despite the Labour MP explaining that she felt it was her responsibility to make sure there were a range of voices being represented in the leadership contest, Kay continued asking the same question.

Dawn clearly couldn’t understand why this is happening and, slightly riled, responded: “Oh – should I repeat myself?

“You say that politicians don’t answer the question – I’ve answered it three times and then you’re asking me the same question again.”

They then spent approximately ten hours discussing whether Andy Burnham said Jeremy Corbyn would be welcome in his shadow cabinet, before the climax comes at 3.14 when Dawn asks Kay: “What’s wrong with you?”

Thus follows a grimace from Kay, and laughter from Dawn. Ouch.

One thing’s for sure, it’s certainly ignited Twitter.

Don’t hold back, Twitter. Say what you really feel.

Anyway, Kay seems to be taking it all in her stride.

We don’t want to imagine what would happen in a face-to-face interview.

But presumably there would be bodyguards on stand-by to stop any physical violence.
