Showbiz round-up: Margot getting the same old lines

MARGOT ROBBIE has revealed she is often mistaken for being a decade older. The 24-year-old Focus star admitted people feel “outraged” when they find out her age, as she graced the front cover of ELLE US. “People seem outraged that I’m 24,” she told the magazine. “People think I’m a decade older.”

The Australian actress, who next stars in Z For Zachariah, was given a rat by her Suicide Squad co-star JARED LETO, aka The Joker.

Margot, who is playing Harley Quinn in the movie, named the creature Rat Rat, saying: “If Harley got something from Joker, she’d probably cherish it.”

ROD STEWART has said he is “enraged” after he agreed to pose in a jacket while visiting Canada, not realising it was made from seal skin.

A photo of the 70-year-old singer wearing the seal fur jacket appeared on social media after he visited a store in Newfoundland, and he was thanked for offering his support to the seal fur industry.

But Rod has hit out at the claims he was being fitted for the jacket, insisting he was not even aware it was made from seal skin, and took to social media himself to explain.

A statement on his Facebook page said: “The store clerk wanted to take a photo with Rod and asked if he would pose in one the store’s jackets and Rod obliged. He was not being fitted for it as has been alleged and had no intention of buying it.

“Rod regrets that he didn’t check what the jacket was made of. Rod has since been very upset to learn that the shop has been using this image as an advertisement for an industry that he does not know much about and certainly does not support.”

PAUL RUDD has insisted his nine-year-old son can’t wait to see his latest movie, despite previously branding it “stupid”.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight the Ant-Man actor reported that his son was distinctly unimpressed when he heard about the superhero film: “What he actually said was, ‘I can’t wait to see how stupid that’ll be.’ Swear to God, that’s what he said.”

But it turns out that little Jack has a “funny sense of humour”, like his comic-actor father, and was just joking around. Now the film is about to come out, he’s on board with the whole idea. “Yesterday we were at Disneyland and we saw this screen, and he was so hypnotised by it, and the look on his face - and he said: ‘That looks awesome, I can’t wait to see it’. It’s the best thing to feel that with your own kid.”

There has been a lot of speculation about whether IDRIS ELBA is in Star Trek Beyond, but now we finally have official confirmation that he’s on board - as well as video footage of the actor breakdancing on the bridge of the Enterprise.

The Luther actor showed off his movies in a YouTube video announcing a new charity competition which offers fans the chance to win a walk-on role in the film itself, as a member of the Starship Enterprise’s crew.

In the video, the stars of the film announce details of the competition as they walk through the ship. They are finally joined by Idris, dressed down in a T-shirt and shorts.

And in a casual confirmation of the 42-year-old’s casting, Captain Kirk actor CHRIS PINE

says: “Idris, glad you could join us,” while Idris shoots back: “What’s up Chris.”

The cast, including ZOE SALDANA, SIMON PEGG and ZACHARY QUINTO, then awkwardly dance under flashing disco lights, until Idris joins in.
