People react to news of new Harry Potter story coming next year

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play that will tell a new story from the Potterverse. 

J.K. Rowling announced the play on Twitter this morning.

I'm also very excited to confirm today that a new play called Harry Potter and the #CursedChild will be opening in London next year.

The author did however answer the question we're all thinking; why not another book? Among a string of tweets on the social media platform she said it was the only proper medium to get the story across.

Fans seem pretty excited and have taken over Twitter this morning.
