MUSIC NEWS: Perhaps it’s fortunate for the Glastonbury organisers that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs isn’t on their bill this weekend. 

The rapper/entrepreneur was arrested this week after an altercation with his son’s football coach.

Maybe he’ll prove us wrong, but we can’t imagine Damien Rice ever attracting such headlines. The Kildare troubadour plays the Marquee in Cork on July 13, and has three songs on the upcoming film version of Kahlil Gibran’s The Prophet. That animated feature has other Irish connections, with Glen Hansard also contributing to the soundtrack, and Liam Neeson among the voice actors.
