The 43-year-old said of trusting her husband: “I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.”

She added: “Here’s what I trust. The man that Will is, is a man of integrity. So he’s got all the freedom in the world and as long as Will can look at himself in the mirror and be OK, I’m good.

“Just because your man is attracted to another woman does not mean he doesn’t love you and it doesn’t mean he’s going to act on it,” she said.

“If your man can’t see another woman’s beauty, how the hell is he going to see yours?”

DAVINA MCCALL has said she has a whole family of new friends from presenting Long Lost Family, because she gives out her personal number to everyone involved.

The presenter hosts the ITV programme searching for people’s estranged relatives.

She admitted she felt a big sense of responsibility towards the people looking for family, explaining: “You want to mother them because this is a time when they need some TLC.

“You only search for someone via a TV programme when you’re absolutely desperate. None of these people wants to be on television. It’s a last resort.”

Davina went on: “I do stay in touch with the people on the programme. I give every contributor my mobile number. I ask them to send me photos, and I really mean it. This is our fifth series, so that’s a lot of people. The producer asked me if it was wise to give out my private number. But no one has ever abused it. They all send me texts about what they’re doing together, and at Christmas I get photos, which make me cry.”
