VIDEO: Mad Max without the special effects is still amazing

When Mad Max: Fury Road was released we expected to see car chases across the desert, exlosions galore and CGI effects to keep us on the edge of our seats.

And director George Miller has certainly delivered on our expectations, with the exception of one.

In truth very little CGI was used in the making of the action scenes, meaning that when you see a car exploding or bikers jumping trucks you can be assured that these were real life effects.

This video, courtesy of Sploid shows clips from the movie before effects were added and it's easy to see that very little was tacked on to enhance the experience.

We couldn't really expect Tom Hardy to hang upside down from a moving big rig now could we?

Could we?

It all still looks amazing, and with two more Mad Max movies on the way, we hope we get to see more live action effects from George Miller and his team.
