WATCH: Dublin accident shows why you need to look both ways before crossing the road

Motorcyclist Martin McGowan captured an incident in Dublin that highlights the importance of being vigilant as a pedestrian.

As he was stopped at traffic lights near Dublin's Convention Centre, Martin witnessed a shocking accident when a pedestrian ran across a junction - without looking - and collided with another motorcyclist.

Luckily, it seems that everyone was okay after the incident, which Martin caught on his helmet camera. He sent the video of the accident to broadsheet.ie and it looked very sore.

We believe the video helps deliver a powerful message about road safety and goes to show how easy these things can happen.
