After the break-up: Natalie Prass returns to Ireland
NATALIE PRASS didn’t set out to record the finest break-up album of 2015. Life just worked out that way. “I never sat down and thought, ‘Well, I’m going to sing about my relationship’,” says the Virginia songwriter, in her rich southern US twang.
“I had a bunch of songs ready — the stuff that seemed to work in the studio happened to have a unified theme. In fact, I hadn’t actually broken up when I wrote them. That happened as we were making the record. It gave it an extra energy — you can hear the emotion there.”
