The controversial fundamentalist US church is notorious for picking fights with companies, public figures and countries it doesn't agree with.

And they disagree with a lot of people.

The current target of their ire is little ol' us - the anti-gay church is furious with Ireland for voting in favour of same sex marriage.

To show their utter disgust with us (which we should really take as a compliment), the tiny but loud organisation posted this Vine of a church member holding an Irish flag in front of a sign bearing a homophobic slur. The video also shows a young boy holding an equally offensive sign.

According to the Church, you flip a flag to show a nation is in distress - but this guy just can't figure out which way is up.

Or they're just getting us confused with the Ivory Coast.

Of course, as the jubilant scenes across the county this weekend show, Irish people are clearly highly distressed at the moment.

Best thing to do is to just laugh at them.
