MORE than 340 lots will come under the hammer at two sales of Important Irish Art in Dublin next week.

Whyte’s sale at the RDS at 6pm next Monday offers the most expensively estimated lot of the week, Sir William Orpen’s 1924 portrait of thrice Oscar nominated actress Gladys Cooper (€80,000-€120,000).

The most expensively estimated lot at James Adam at 6pm on Wednesday is a 1916 view of Roundstone by Yeats (€25,000-€35,000).
