This is not a glass of water

Despite everything your eye may tell you, this is not a glass of water.

Instead, it's a painting by artist Stefan Pabst, a portrait specialist who also dabbles in 3D art, or anamorphic painting, on his YouTube channel.

The simple glass of water is, fittingly, a watercolour - which is hard to believe until you see it done.

Watching Pabst build up his drawings is a fascinating experience. While there's no doubt he can draw, the artwork seems simple enough - until the point when the depth of his work suddenly becomes much more life-like.
