Glasgow native Cathy Hutcheon had almost given up on being a grandmother after her daughter Nicola came off IVF treatment.

Nicola, 38, and her husband Mark Borland had been trying for a baby for 11 long years and even tried fertility treatment to no avail. When you add in that, unfortunately, Cathy's other two daughters Natasha and Sylvia are unable to conceive - you could understand Cathy's despair.

Last weekend, Nicola came round to her mother's home with the happy news that she never expected.
