This is the best retelling of the Lusitania story we've ever seen

Tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of the siinking of the Lusitania, and one Cork boy has been inspired by the Irish Examiner’s recent coverage of that event.

This is the best retelling of the Lusitania story we've ever seen

Six-year-old Caelum enjoyed last Friday’s special Lusitania supplement so much that he put pen to paper to produce a masterpiece of his own.

Caelum’s dad, Mark, shared his young son’s creative writing and accompanying illustration describing the last moments of the RMS ’Loosatanya’ before it ’sanc’.

In brief: ’Lodsov pypel did’ because ’a germin sumaryn shot a torqedo into the Loosatanya’.

He even included the 'sumaryn' shooting a 'torqedo' into the ship in his drawing.

Thanks to Mark Evans for sending his son’s story our way on Twitter.
