Billed by Dolan’s as the first of the big summer marquee auctions, the antiques and collectibles sale at Kelly’s Resort Hotel, Rosslare, at 1pm tomorrow offers much to interest collectors.

Viewing is now underway for a sale that offers art by Tony O’Malley, Colin Middleton, Charles Lamb, Kenneth Webb, John Shinnors, Basil Blackshaw and Mark O’Neill along with a good selection of antiques and collectibles, including silver and plate.

The catalogue cover for this auction of more than 300 lots is a flower painting by Mark O’Neill entitled The Crimson Collection and estimated at €6,000 to €7,500.

There is a selection of work from popular and affordable Irish artists.

Antique furniture includes display cabinets, occasional tables, a George III bureau, a Georgian corner cabinet, a tea table, chairs, brass fenders, porcelain, an Oriental charger, a Famille Rose bowl, garden statuary, silver tea services, spoons, sauce ladles and jugs.

Collectibles include the Lawrence Collection photographs that were featured on these pages last week.
