Aidan Gillen: ’Let’s make a positive impact, vote Yes’

The Game of Throne's star speaks about children who have been brought into this campaign and how it will affect them.

Organisations such as the ISPCC, Barnardos and Childline, who have pledged their lives to protecting children, have pledged themselves to the Yes campaign.

"Same sex couples have existed in Ireland for many years and will continue to exist even if the referendum does not pass."

"Young LGBT people, when asked what a 'yes vote' in the referendum would mean to them, used words like hope, saftey, validation, respect, security.

"When asked what a no vote would mean to them, they used words like terrified, alienated, uncomfortable, afraid, damaging, upsetting.

"The outcome of this referendum will have massive impact on the lives of countless LGBT people around Ireland and the people who love them. Let's make that impact a positive one."
