Ballet Ireland is channelling the past to reveal an exciting future

BALLET Ireland’s new tour, Tutus & Beyond, which tours the country until May, takes us on a time trip through the history of dance, from the earliest blockbuster of the 19th century through musicals to the most modern choreography.

“We wanted to pay homage to the past, and at the same time show how ballet has evolved,” explains Ballet Ireland director Anne Maher who has combined the classic Pas de Quatre with the lively Sing Sing Sing, and the premiere of Ludovic Ondiviela’s Lost.
