O’Connell chairs and Eileen Gray tables feature in Woodwards sale

With everything from a set of Cork 11-bar chairs to a Vernis Martin display cabinet and a pair of Eileen Gray chrome tables, the sale at Woodwards next Wednesday at 6pm offers considerable variety.

The auction offers 300 lots of furniture, art, crystal and garden furniture.

Prime lots include the O’Connell-made Cork chairs (€2,000-€3,000), a Sheraton sideboard (€1,500-€2,000), a Georgian walnut card table (€1,000-€1,500), a Vernis Martin display cabinet (€1,000-€2,000), a Georgian serving table (€400-€500), a Regency cylinder front bookcase (€700-€1,000), a pair of Eileen Gray e1027 circular tables (€2,000-€3,000) and a Georgian library table (€400-€600).

Collectibles include a Sirena plate by Lalique (€1,500-€2,500), a Coquille plate by Lalique (€400-€600), an Emile Galle cameo vase (€400-€600), a large Meissen group (€400-€600) and a selection of Waterford Crystal including designs by Jasper Conran, Marc Jacobs and John Rocha.

There is a selection of garden seats, vases and statuary as well as mirrors, rugs and porcelain.

Artists whose work will feature include Lady Kate Dobbin, Robert L Stopford, John Bosanquet, John Skelton, Gerry Marjoram and William Russel Flint.
