Waterford chandeliers made €1,050 and €800 and a Georgian corner press made €540.
A collection of rare old Cork Opera House programmes made €330, a linen press sold for €670, an elm chair made €200, a pair of couches sold for €840, a Bokhara rug made €420 and an Arts and Crafts bed sold for €200.
The three-day sale at Mealy’s brought in €360,000. The top lot was a pair of Irish George IV sofas once at Lissadell House which made €12,000.
A Chinese sang de boeuf dish with a top estimate of €3,000 sold for €6,500 and a Meiji Period bronze urn made €3,000 over a top estimate of €1,200. 40% of buyers were from outside the country.
The annual Easter Saturday vintage and antique auction takes place at 11 am at O’Donovan’s of Newcastlewest. The auction features vintage road signs, old tractor seats, farm machinery, vintage advertising, antique furniture and collectibles.
The contents of a jewellery shop are among the lots to be offered by Aidan Foley at Galway Auction Rooms, Kilcolgan, at 11 am today.
Antique furniture includes an Art Nouveau display cabinet, an Edwardian inlaid wardrobe, antique pine dressers and a three door Victorian bookcase. The auction of over 1,000 lots is on view from 10 am.

Lord Baden Powell (1857-1941) is best remembered today as the founder of the scouting movement. But he first became famous for leading a group of officers at the Siege of Mafeking, which began in October 1899 and ended in May 1900.
At Christie’s in South Kensington on April 30 a group of six swords presented to the major general in recognition of his efforts to defend Mafeking in South Africa are variously estimated at £1,000-£10,000.
