A New Zealand radio show prank got its listeners to help prank two of their DJs

New Zealand DJs Jace and PJ who who work for ZM Radio were rudely awakened by a call from their boss at 6.30am telling them they had to come in and cover for the breakfast show crew at 7am - who had all mysteriously been struck by gastroenteritis.

As the call came just minutes before they had to go on air on the national station, the pair turned up for work half asleep, slightly dishevelled and completely unprepared for the show.

But it didn't really matter because, as it turns out, they were broadcasting to no one.

It was all a trick by the three 'ill'' co-workers - who were actually on air in a different studio.

After explaining what was going on, they decided to enlist the help of the audience - and that's when the fun really started.
