Redditor makes a joke video ’crying’ about Zayn Malik, CBS news airs it

Yesterday, teens across the world sobbed for hours at the news that Zayn Malik had left One Direction. News platforms across the world covered the story, of course - complete with clips of crying teens.

But redditor and YouTuber Ben Berst saw opportunity. He recorded his own sobbing teenager clip on Vine, as over-the-top and ridiculous as possible - and CBS News took the bait.

Amid a montage of sobbing teenage girls sits Ben, kissing his printed photo of Zayn Malik in a clip that's so obviously out of place, even the news anchors know it.

He earned his 4,500+ upvotes on Reddit and his 700,000 views. Bravo.
