Bus swallowed by sinkhole and swept away by heavy flooding
The bus had become stuck on a muddy road near the cities of Itaituba and Ruropolis in the northern tropical Para state.
The Guardian reports that the passengers managed to escape the bus before the road collapsed and the bus was swallowed up by the resulting crater. It was then swiftly swept downstream by the fast-moving waters underneath.
