Our passion for coffee is growing

Rita de Brun looks at our days and ways spent drinking coffee. Strong, hot, frothy or mild, we love the stuff — and now it appears, it loves us back.

It’s hot, strong and stimulating and it keeps us awake at night. Yet very many of us can’t face a day without it.

Tennis champion, Serena Williams, went so far as to credit it with helping her to win her first match this year, and while she told the world about her love of coffee and how it helps her to perform, she could have been speaking for any of the 100 million Americans who drink coffee every day.
