That may be the case but Tom Petty is getting 12 percent of Sam Smith's smash hit 'Stay With Me' due to similarities in the song's structures.

Funny Or Die weren't going to let Tom have it all his own way though and they make some interesting comparisons between some of Petty's songs and those by other artists.
