In Waterford viewing continues for RJ Keighery’s sale of nearly 1,000 lots at the City Auction Rooms on George’s Quay next Monday at 10.30 am. Viewing times are from noon to 5 pm today and tomorrow.
Auctioneer Aidan Foley will offer residual contents from 55 refurbished bedrooms at Ashford Castle at a two-day sale at the old Sawmills, Clonbur Road, Cong, Co Mayo on February 7 and 8. The auction will be on view next Friday.
The inaugural exhibition at Uillinn, the new building of the West Cork Arts Centre at Skibbereen, opens today. Fourth Space features work by David Beattie, Karl Burke, Rhona Byrne, Angela Fulcher, Mark Garry, Caoimhe Kilfeather, Dennis McNulty and Liam O’Callaghan. It continues until March 14.
Around 300 lots will come under the hammer at an Edward Walsh auction at the Fir Grove Hotel, Mitchelstown on Sunday, February 8 at 2.30 pm. The sale will be on view from 7 pm to 9 pm next Saturday and on the morning of the auction.
The big art sales in London get underway at Sotheby’s next Tuesday evening. Hundreds of millions of pounds worth of art will change hands at auctions in London over the next fortnight.
There will be viewing at James Adam in Dublin tomorrow for Tuesday’s attic sale at 11 am. The art, furniture, silver and collectibles from this auction can be viewed at St Stephen’s Green from 2 pm to 5 pm tomorrow and from 10 am to 5 pm on Monday.
There will be an interiors auction at Mullens of Laurel Park, Bray at 11 am next Monday. It will feature Georgian, Victorian, Edwardian and later furniture and collectibles.
