Russell Brand tells Ireland to skip work on Wednesday and march against water charges

In a special edition of his YouTube show "The Trews" (the true news), Brand hosts Brendan Ogle of the Unite trade union in a discussion about water charges in Ireland.

The video titled "Ireland! Care About Water? Bunk Work Wednesday!" was released this evening.

Ogle, whose union is supporting the anti-water charges march, makes the argument that water has already been paid for in general taxation.

Brand also encouraged British people to travel to Dublin to take part in the protest.

"I love an Irish protest ... better songs, better vibe - I might turn up myself," Brand said.
