Irish Water protestors have found a perhaps-unlikely ally in Russell Brand.

The comedian, actor and activist devoted an episode of his online show The Trews to the issue of water charges - and he hasn't forgotten about it.

Russell today tweeted the following, reminding the people of Limerick of a protest in the city tomorrow:
